Ninth Air Force Headquarters recently welcomed Lt. Gen. Shihab Jahid Ali, commander of the Iraqi Air Force.
During his visit, Gen. Shihab met with leaders from Air Forces Central to better integrate military operations and strengthen partnerships.
The general also visited McEntire Joint National Guard Base to learn more about the capabilities of the F-16 Fighting Falcon and discuss future opportunities for partnership and operational integration between U.S. and Iraqi Air Forces.
Gen. Shihab had the opportunity to fly in an F-16 and experience its capabilities firsthand.
Engagements like these enhance the interoperability between U.S. and partner nations to ensure safety and security within the Central Command area of responsibility. More
