New York Air National Guard's 106th Rescue Wing held an active shooter drill at the 106th Rescue Wing, Francis S. Gabreski Air National Guard Base, N.Y., Sept. 18, 2024. The drill required members from the 106th Medical Group to call 106th Security Forces to respond to an active shooter. 106th Security Forces engaged the shooter and cleared the building to ensure a scene safety.
