UH-1 seats
During the second week of Special Warfare Orientation Course, full mission profiles include U.S. Army and U.S. Air Force rotary wing helicopters. Here, cadets infiltrate and exfiltrate via CH-47 Chinooks and UH-1 “Huey” Iroquois, making this U.S. Air Force Academy summer program and Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps development training a joint team effort. The information and exposure during SWOC will help cadets prepare physically and mentally prior to attending a selection for Special Warfare, called Phase II.

Recovery IP
The second week of Special Warfare Orientation Course introduces cadets to the three Air Force Special Warfare missions of Global Access, Precision Strike, and Personnel Recovery. Here, cadets learn how to perform the personnel recovery mission by securing the objective area, authenticating the isolated personnel, assess and treating the patients, and consolidating at a casualty collection point. The information and exposure during SWOC will help cadets prepare physically and mentally prior to attending a selection for Special Warfare, called Phase II.

Strike CAS
