This course provides novice instructors with the foundational KSAs needed to implement SW training: organizational policy; Instructional System Development (ISD) model and curriculum materials; learning, memory, and performance; fundamentals of instruction; building teams from individuals; high-risk training leadership; improving performance through mediation and counseling; and the whole person concept.

The MSO is designed to thoroughly welcome new members while also providing an informative overview of the organization. Instructor Supervisors (IS) are selected from the most qualified and competent instructors. This course of instruction provides experienced and competent instructors with the knowledge and skills to manage the instructor force, proper course implementation, as well as specific risk mitigation techniques IAW SW-TSQC Course Training Standard.
Training Supervisor Qualification Course (TSQC) – L2AIR1XXXX 0T1A
This intermediate course is requirement for two situations. (1) Returning Instructors: All returning instructors whom were previously qualified that have not instructed for 12 months or longer must complete the Instructor Refresher within the first three months of returning. (2) Mid-Tour Instructor Refresher Requirement: All active SW Instructors are required to attend the full 40 hrs of continuation refresher training at the mid-tour point in order to remain a current and qualified instructor. The central course focus is to refresh risk mitigation and provide continuing education on adaptive learning techniques/strategies IAW SWIQRC Course Training Standard. Instructor Refresher Course (IRC) – L3AIR1XXXX 0R1A
(NOTE: The Course is currently in development) Enrolment into the AIC will be through an application process. The AIC course of instruction will provide continuation education/training for experienced instructors and also facilitate the capstone project aspect of the Master Instructor certification. The AIC capstone project provides instructors with a unique and structured opportunity to leave a lasting legacy level impact behind. The Master Instructor capstone project combines elements of effective Project Management along with exploration into deeper levels of applicable instructional delivery methods and content.
